Veh Cd-Pickup Truck-No Riders

Abstract

Amends the Illinois Vehicle Code. Provides that a person may not operate a pickup truck on a public highway while the open cargo area of the pickup truck is occupied by any person. Provides that the prohibition does not apply to recreational vehicles or truck campers. Provides that the prohibition does not apply to a pickup truck that is being used in production agriculture or in an emergency situation or to a pickup truck that is being driven in a parade or to or from a parade in which the pickup truck has been or is to be driven. Provides that a violation is a Class C misdemeanor.
