Dental Prac-Board Membership

Abstract

Amends the Dental Practice Act. Provides that upon the first vacancy created by the resignation or term expiration of a dentist member of the Board of Dentistry occurring on or after the effective date of the amendatory Act, a dental hygienist shall be appointed to fill that vacancy and the board shall thereafter be composed of 7 (rather than 8) members who have been dentists for a period of 5 years or more, 3 (rather than 2) members who have been dental hygienists for a period of 5 years or more, and one public member. Effective immediately.
