Professions-Auctioneers

Abstract

Amends the Auction License Act. Provides that Internet auction storefronts are subject to the same laws and rules as auctioneers. Provides that a license that expires on September 30, 2009 shall instead expire on December 31, 2010, and thereafter a license shall expire every 2 years on December 31 of each even-numbered year. Provides that a renewal applicant for an auctioneer's (or associate's) license may complete continuing education courses in one day. Provides that a renewal applicant may receive credit in this State for similar continuing education courses in other states. Amends the Regulatory Sunset Act. Changes the scheduled repeal date on the Act to January 1, 2015 (from January 1, 2010).
