Alerts Law Enfrcmnt System

Abstract

Refers to a Department of Central Management Services study that suggests the operation of the Area-wide Law Enforcement Radio Terminal System (ALERTS) be transferred to the Department and a convergence of ALERTS with the Illinois Wireless Information Network (I-WIN) take place, which would dismantle ALERTS. States that ALERTS is a product of local government cooperation and urges the State not to expropriate the products of their cooperation.
