National Animal Id System

Abstract

Urges the United States Department of Agriculture to (1) consider small producer and farm animal owner concerns in the development of the National Animal Identification System; (2) provide additional information to farm animal owners on the current status of the National Animal Identification System and what is being considered for the system; and (3) consider the diverse differences between different livestock industries and allow for flexibility for different types of livestock in the development of the National Animal Identification System.
