Siu-2 Separate Universities

Abstract

Amends the Southern Illinois University Management Act. Abolishes the Board of Trustees of Southern Illinois University. Provides that the part of Southern Illinois University associated with the Carbondale campus (except the School of Medicine) shall be known as Southern Illinois University at Carbondale and shall be under the governance and control of the Board of Trustees of Southern Illinois University at Carbondale. Provides that that part of Southern Illinois University associated with the Edwardsville campus (along with the School of Medicine) shall be known as Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville and shall be under the governance and control of the Board of Trustees of Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville. Makes corresponding changes in various Acts. Effective July 1, 2006.
