Forest Preserve Dist-Contracts

Abstract

Amends the Downstate Forest Preserve District Act. In a Section requiring that contracts involving an expenditure in excess of $20,000 for supplies, materials, or work shall be awarded to the lowest bidder after advertising, provides additional exceptions for contracts involving professional skill, utility services, services or supplies requiring integration with existing systems, certain educational or instructional materials, contracts that are not adapted to award by competitive bidding, certain service or repair contracts, and certain emergency contracts. Deletes an exception for necessary supplies under the control of a monopoly. Effective immediately.
