Tollway Travel Service Signs

Abstract

Amends the Toll Highway Act. Provides that the Illinois State Toll Highway Authority shall, upon the request of a vendor or vendors and the payment of an appropriate fee or fees, erect and maintain, near the appropriate sign notifying motorists of an upcoming toll highway intersection, a sign or signs indicating the presence near that intersection of a business or businesses providing services to travelers, such as lodging, food, or motor fuel. Provides that these signs and their placement shall conform with the Illinois Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices for Streets and Highways. Effective immediately.
