Veh Cd-Emer Veh-Sgnl Preempt

Abstract

Amends the Illinois Vehicle Code. Provides that any authorized emergency vehicle must be equipped with a traffic control signal preemption device. Provides that the Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity shall adopt rules regarding the reimbursement of any unit of local government that may not be able to afford the expense of the required equipment.
