Idph-Epa-Environmntal Exposure

Abstract

Amends the Department of Public Health Powers and Duties Law of the Civil Administrative Code of Illinois. Requires the Department of Public Health, in cooperation with the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency, to examine whether, and the extent to which, past environmental exposures might increase the risk of several chronic diseases, including birth defects, heart disease, cancer, asthma and other respiratory conditions, Parkinson's disease, Alzheimer's disease, and other neurological degenerative diseases. Requires a report by December 31, 2005.
