Medicaid-Limit Rx Drugs

Abstract

Amends the Illinois Public Aid Code. Provides that the Department of Public Aid may not establish any formulary limits on, or restrict by any prior authorization requirement, any prescription drug or laboratory or diagnostic test as prescribed and determined to be medically necessary for the treatment and prevention of certain diseases, including HIV/AIDS, hepatitis C, end stage renal disease, and cancer. Effective immediately.
