Income Rentention Rules Study

Abstract

Directs the Department of Public Aid to conduct a thorough review and analysis of the current income retention rules for persons with disabilities who are residing in nursing facilities in Illinois in regard to the impact of the rules (a) on the implementation of the U.S. Supreme Court decision in Olmstead ex re. Zimring v. L.C. in general and (b) on whether the rules create a disincentive to engage in gainful employment for persons who are able, available, and willing to seek employment with or without supports.
