Fire Protection-Drug Arson

Abstract

Amends the Fire Protection District Act. Authorizes the board of trustees of a fire protection district to fix, charge, and collect fees not exceeding the reasonable cost of the service for all services rendered by the district against any person convicted of the offense of possession of explosives or explosive or incendiary devices, pursuant to Section 20-2 of the Criminal Code of 1961, in connection with a fire caused by the illegal manufacture of methamphetamine. Requires all revenue generated from those fees to be deposited into the general fund of the fire protection district.
