Sex Offender Registrtion-Move

Abstract

Amends the Sex Offender Registration Act and the Sex Offender and Child Murderer Community Notification Law. Requires a sex offender who relocates his or her residence to provide written documentation, such as a lease or utility bill, to the appropriate law enforcement agency within 30 days of the relocation. Requires a law enforcement officer to verify the change of residence of a sex offender by going to the residence. Effective immediately.
