Loc Gov-Taxpayer Relief Act

Abstract

Creates the as the Local Government Taxpayer's Relief Act. Provides that no person may bid, transact, continue to perform, or have any interest in contracts or agreements let or issued by a unit of local government or school district if that person has filed a civil lawsuit naming that unit of local government or school district as a defendant unless approved by the executive and a super-majority of the legislative branch of the unit of local government. Applies to contracts entered into before, on, and after the effective date. Exempts certain contracts between employers and employees. Preempts home rule powers. Effective immediately.
