Sch Cd-Suspnd Stu-Fund Ed Prog

Abstract

Amends the School Code. Provides that if a pupil is suspended for more than 2 school days, the pupil's parent or guardian may chose to place the pupil in a community-based education program during those days of suspension and the school district must pay the community-based education program an amount equal to the amount the school spends per pupil per day for each day that the pupil is suspended and attends the program. Amends the State Mandates Act to require implementation without reimbursement. Effective July 1, 2003.
