Domestic Violence Prevention

Abstract

Amends the Department of State Police Law of the Civil Administrative Code of Illinois. Provides that the Department of State Police shall create an Office of Domestic Violence Prevention. The Office of Domestic Violence Prevention shall collaborate with the Department of Human Services on coordinating cross-system services in response to domestic violence. Services include, but are not limited to, those of law enforcement, the courts, human services, health agencies, community-based providers, employers, and schools. The Department must adopt rules to implement this Section.
