Veh Cd-Blood Alcohol Level

Abstract

Amends the DUI provision of the Illinois Vehicle Code. Provides that a person may not drive with an alcohol concentration of 0.05 or more in his or her blood or breath if he or she has been convicted of violating the 0.08 alcohol concentration limit one or more times within 5 years of a previous violation of the DUI provision or a similar provision of a law of another state or a similar provision of a local ordinance. Makes corresponding changes in other provisions of the Vehicle Code and in the reckless homicide provisions of the Criminal Code of 1961.
