Hwy Cd-Traffic Victim Memorial

Abstract

Amends the Illinois Highway Code. Provides that the Department of Transportation, at the request of friends or relatives of a person killed in a traffic accident on a highway in this State, shall erect and maintain a traffic accident memorial, adjacent to the portion of the highway where the accident occurred, in memory of the decedent. Provides that a memorial may not be erected within the boundaries of a municipality. Establishes requirements regarding the location, size, shape, installation, and maintenance of the memorial.
