Abstract

Amends the Illinois Dangerous Animals Act. Provides that the exceptions listed in Section 1 are narrow in scope, must be strictly construed, and apply only in bona fide and clearly established circumstances. Allows municipalities or counties, for unincorporated areas, to enact ordinances imposing greater restrictions on the possession of dangerous animals than are contained in this Act and to impose penalties for violations of those ordinances.
