Fire Protect Dist-Open Burning

Abstract

Amends the Fire Protection District Act. Provides that a fire protection district may not enforce an open burning ordinance (i) within the City of Chicago, (ii) within the boundaries of a farm that consists of more than 50 acres, and (iii) in a forest preserve district if the district personnel perform the open burning. Deletes the provision that a fire protection district may not enforce an open burning ordinance within the corporate limits of a county with a population of 3,000,000 or more or a municipality with a population of 1,000,000 or more.
