Abstract

Amends the Department of Employment Security Law of the Civil Administrative Code of Illinois. Requires that the Department, with the advice of the Illinois Workforce Investment Board, develop and implement a pilot program to encourage partnerships among Workforce Investment Centers, Centers for Independent Living, and disability service providers to develop innovative recruitment and retention initiatives for personal assistants and direct care workers who work with persons with disabilities. Effective immediately.
