Abstract

Amends the Labor Dispute Act. Makes a technical change in a Section concerning the short title. Senate Floor Amendment No. 1 Deletes reference to: 820 ILCS 5/1.1 from Ch. 48, par. 2a.1 Adds reference to: 820 ILCS 90/10 Replaces everything after the enacting clause. Amends the Illinois Freedom to Work Act. Provides that the definition of "first responders" means any persons who are currently or formerly employed as: (i) emergency medical services personnel, (ii) firefighters, and (iii) law enforcement officers. Effective January 1, 2025.
