Abstract

Amends the Illinois Congressional Redistricting Act of 2011. Makes a technical change in a Section concerning the short title. Senate Floor Amendment No. 1 Deletes reference to: 10 ILCS 77/1 Adds reference to: 10 ILCS 5/10-10 from Ch. 46, par. 10-10 Replaces everything after the enacting clause. Amends the Election Code. Provides that the nomination papers of a candidate shall be deemed invalid and a candidate's name shall not appear on the ballot if the candidate is found to have personally engaged in material fraud or a pattern of fraud in connection with the signatures on the nominating papers or false swearing with respect to the nominating papers.
