River Conservancy-Board Comp

Abstract

Amends the River Conservancy Districts Act. Provides that the board of a river conservancy district shall annually set the member compensation to be paid solely out of the funds of the district (rather than a member of the board may not receive more than $3,000 per annum). Senate Committee Amendment No. 1 Adds reference to: 70 ILCS 2105/6 from Ch. 42, par. 388 615 ILCS 90/6 from Ch. 19, par. 1206 Replaces everything after the enacting clause. Amends the River Conservancy Districts Act. Provides that a member of a board may not receive more than $6,000 per annum (instead of $3,000 per annum). Provides that at its discretion, a board may adjust the compensation amounts for inflation as determined by the Consumer Price Index for All Urban Consumers for all items published by the United States Department of Labor and rounded to the nearest $100. Provides that board members shall also be reimbursed for ordinary and necessary expenses incurred in performing the member's duties under the Act. Amends the Fox Waterway Agency Act. Provides that each director on the board of directors of the Fox Waterway Agency may receive up to $6,000 per year (instead of $3,000) and that the chairman of the board may receive up to $10,000 per year (instead of $5,000). Provides that at the board of directors of the Fox Waterway Agency's discretion, the board may adjust the compensation amounts for inflation as determined by the Consumer Price Index for All Urban Consumers for all items published by the United States Department of Labor and rounded to the nearest $100.
