Support Family Roots Genealogy

Abstract

Urges support for the Family Roots Genealogy Pilot Program as it provides African American descendants of enslaved individuals the opportunity to trace their roots back to their ancestral homelands, to reconnect with their ancestral heritage, and to promote their well-being. House Floor Amendment No. 2 Deletes everything. Reinserts original language urging support for the Family Roots Genealogy Pilot Program, but removes language referring to data being stored at specific locations. Inserts new language stating that data storage facilities just must meet HIPAA requirements.
