Em Telephone-Board Members

Abstract

Amends the Emergency Telephone System Act. Provides that an Emergency Telephone System Board shall include the county sheriff or the sheriff's designee and at least 2 (rather than 3) representatives of the 9-1-1 public safety agencies other than the sheriff's office. House Committee Amendment No. 1 Replaces everything after the enacting clause. Amends the Emergency Telephone System Act. Provides that elected officials, including county sheriffs and members of a county board (rather than including members of a county board), are also eligible to serve on an Emergency Telephone System Board.
