Abstract

Amends the Metropolitan Water Reclamation District Act. Provides that the mandatory competitive bid threshold for the District may not be less than $100,000 (rather than less than $10,000 or more than $40,000). Provides that the District's executive director shall authorize in writing specified officials or employees who may purchase in the open market without filing a requisition or estimate to purchase and without advertisement any supplies, materials, equipment or services for immediate delivery to meet bona fide operating emergencies where the amount is not in excess of $100,000 (rather than $50,000). House Floor Amendment No. 1 Provides that the mandatory competitive bid threshold for the Metropolitan Water Reclamation District may not be less than $60,000 (rather than less than $100,000 in the introduced bill).
