Amends the Courses of Study Article of the School Code. Provides that school districts shall provide instruction on the dangers of fentanyl. Specifies the elements of the instruction. Provides that students shall be assessed on the fentanyl instruction. House Floor Amendment No. 2 Deletes reference to: 105 ILCS 5/27-23.17 new Adds reference to: 105 ILCS 5/27-13.2 from Ch. 122, par. 27-13.2 105 ILCS 110/3 Replaces everything after the enacting clause. Amends the School Code and the Critical Health Problems and Comprehensive Health Education Act. Beginning with the 2024-2025 school year, provides that in every State-required health course for grades 9 through 12, a school district shall provide instruction, study, and discussion on the dangers of fentanyl. Sets forth requirements for the instruction, study, and discussion, and requires students to be assessed on the instruction.
