Amends the Evaluation of Certified Employees Article of the School Code. With respect to a school district's teacher evaluation plan, provides that a teacher does not need to undergo the last evaluation cycle before the teacher retires if the teacher has notified the school district of the teacher's intent to retire. Effective immediately. Senate Committee Amendment No. 1 Deletes reference to: 105 ILCS 5/24A-5 Adds reference to: 105 ILCS 5/24-3.5 new Replaces everything after the enacting clause. Amends the Employment of Teachers Article of the School Code. Provides that any teacher who is a member of a statewide association representing teachers and who is elected by the association's membership to represent the association in federal advocacy work may spend up to 10 days during a school term representing the association in federal advocacy work. Provides that no deduction of wages may be made for such absence, and the statewide association shall reimburse the employing school district for the cost of the need for a substitute teacher as the result of the teacher's absence.
