Pretreated Seed Ban-Ethanol

Abstract

Amends the Illinois Pesticide Act. Provides that, notwithstanding any other provision of law, no person shall produce ethanol using seeds that have been treated with a pesticide. Senate Committee Amendment No. 1 Deletes reference to: 415 ILCS 60/13.6 new Adds reference to: 415 ILCS 60/1 from Ch. 5, par. 801 Replaces everything after the enacting clause. Amends the Illinois Pesticide Act. Makes a technical change in a Section concerning the short title. Senate Floor Amendment No. 2 Deletes reference to: 415 ILCS 60/13.6 new Adds reference to: 730 ILCS 5/5-4.5-110 Replaces everything after the enacting clause. Amends the Unified Code of Corrections. Extends the repeal date of specified sentencing guidelines for individuals with prior felony firearm-related or other specified convictions from January 1, 2024 to January 1, 2025. Effective immediately.
