Primary
Amends the Illinois Marriage and Dissolution of Marriage Act. Prohibits the marriage of any person under the age of 18. Provides that a minor may independently initiate the proceeding for a dissolution of marriage or legal separation in the minors own name and appear on the minors own behalf without a parent, guardian, guardian ad litem, next friend, or other appointed person. Makes conforming changes in the Act and in the Juvenile Court Act of 1987.
