Crim Cd-Hate Crime-Immigration

Abstract

Amends the Criminal Code of 2012. Includes, as a hate crime, the commission of the specified criminal acts against a person because of the actual or perceived citizenship or immigration status of the person. Effective immediately. Senate Committee Amendment No. 1 Removes immediate effective date provision.
