Amends the Illinois Educational Labor Relations Act. Makes a technical change in a Section concerning employee rights. Senate Floor Amendment No. 1 Deletes reference to: 115 ILCS 5/3 Adds reference to: 110 ILCS 305/9 from Ch. 144, par. 30 Replaces everything after the enacting clause. Amends the University of Illinois Act. With regard to scholarships for children of veterans, provides that preference for scholarships shall be given to the children of veterans who were police officers or fire officers and were killed in the line of duty while employed by, or in the voluntary service of, this State or any local public entity in this State. Effective immediately.
