Amends the Illinois Insurance Code. Requires a group or individual policy of accident and health insurance to provide coverage for cardiopulmonary monitors for a person 18 years old or younger who has had a cardiopulmonary event. Effective January 1, 2020. House Committee Amendment No. 1 Specifies that the required coverage for cardiopulmonary monitors for certain persons under the age of 18 years of age is limited to cardiopulmonary monitors determined to be medically necessary. House Floor Amendment No. 2 Adds reference to: 305 ILCS 5/5-16.8 Amends the Illinois Public Aid Code. Provides that the medical assistance program shall provide coverage for cardiopulmonary monitors determined to be medically necessary for persons 18 years old or younger who have had cardiopulmonary events.
