Atty Gen-Confidential Address

Abstract

Amends the Address Confidentiality for Victims of Domestic Violence Act. Provides that a person who is a victim of, among other things, sexual assault or stalking may apply for the address confidentiality program under the Act. Senate Committee Amendment No. 1 Adds reference to: 10 ILCS 5/20-3 from Ch. 46, par. 20-3 750 ILCS 61/1 750 ILCS 61/5 750 ILCS 61/10 750 ILCS 61/11 750 ILCS 61/40 Replaces everything after the enacting clause with the provisions of the engrossed bill, and makes the following changes: Changes the name of the Act to the Address Confidentiality for Victims of Domestic Violence, Sexual Assault, or Stalking Act. Defines "sexual assault" and "stalking". Makes corresponding changes in the Act and the Election Code. Effective January 1, 2021.
