Relating To Gaming.

Abstract

Authorizes a 10-year license for 1 poker and sportsbook gaming facility in a special district designated for tourism in a county with over 500,000 residents and that is not in a hotel. Allows admission for individuals 21 years of age or older. Establishes the Hawaiʻi gaming control commission. Imposes wagering tax on gross receipts. Creates the state gaming fund and compulsive gambler assistance program. Allocates to the State an amount equal to 70% of profits, with the percentage decreasing 5% each year. Authorizes the State to make grants from revenue received to a nonprofit entity for the benefit of wildfire victims.
