Relating To Broadband.

Abstract

Transfers the Hawaii broadband and digital equity office from the department of business, economic development, and tourism to the office of the lieutenant governor on a temporary, four-year basis. Appropriates general funds to provide required matching funds for the Broadband Equity, Access, and Deployment Program. Appropriates funds received by the State from the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act for the Broadband Equity, Access, and Deployment Program. Requires the office of the lieutenant governor to convene and lead the working group established pursuant to Act 231, Session Laws of Hawaii 2022. Effective 6/30/3000. (HD1)
