Relating To Public Parking Spaces.

Abstract

Effective January 1, 2025, requires all state- or county-owned parking lots in the State that contain public paid parking spaces to accept payment of parking fees by credit card and debit card. Requires all state- or county-owned parking meters in the State that collect parking fees for any public paid parking space to be maintained in working order to accept payment by credit card and debit card. Requires the department of accounting and general services and the counties to submit reports to the legislature. Defines motor vehicle, parking meter, and public parking space. Effective 7/1/2050.
