Income tax credit; rehabilitation of historic structures; extend sunset date

Abstract

A BILL to be entitled an Act to amend Article 2 of Chapter 7 of Title 48 of the Official Code of Georgia Annotated, relating to the imposition, rate, computation, exemptions, and credits relative to income taxes, so as to extend the sunset date for the tax credits for the rehabilitation of historic structures; to expand the criteria for historic homes to qualify for such credits; to increase the aggregate caps for credits related to historic structures other than historic homes; to provide for a five-year carry-forward period for credits for historic structures other than historic homes; to extend a provision for an automatic repeal; to provide for related matters; to provide for an effective date and applicability; to repeal conflicting laws; and for other purposes.
