Abstract

A BILL to be entitled an Act to amend Article 2 of Chapter 1 of Title 37 of the O.C.G.A., relating to the powers and duties of the Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities regarding the governing and regulation of mental health, so as to require the Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities to provide fully funded services over a five-year period to individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities who are on the New Options Waiver (NOW) or Comprehensive Supports Waiver (COMP) waiting list; to prohibit the department from capping or limiting community living support services under the COMP waiver; to provide for related matters; to provide for legislative findings; to repeal conflicting laws; and for other purposes.
