Mental health; comprehensive review of behavioral health system include review of cultural barriers to treatment; provide

Abstract

A BILL to be entitled an Act to amend Title 37 of the Official Code of Georgia Annotated, relating to mental health, so as to provide that a comprehensive review of the behavioral health system in this state include a review of cultural barriers to treatment; to require that patients in facilities that provide the diagnosis, care, treatment, or hospitalization of persons who are mentally ill be informed of patient care and treatment rights in the preferred language of the patient; to provide for related matters; to repeal conflicting laws; and for other purposes.
