Local government; provide reports regarding intended public use of properties in urban redevelopment zones; require

Abstract

A BILL to be entitled an Act to amend Chapter 61 of Title 36 of the O.C.G.A., relating to urban redevelopment, so as to require local governing bodies to provide reports regarding the intended public use of properties in urban redevelopment zones; to amend Title 44 of the O.C.G.A., relating to property; to amend Title 48 of the O.C.G.A., relating to revenue and taxation, so as to require local governments to provide certain information to the Department of Community Affairs when applying for certain designations for tax credits; to amend Title 50 of the O.C.G.A., relating to state government, so as to allow the Department of Economic Development to appoint personnel to assist certain small businesses; to establish an Office of Disadvantaged Business Enterprises within the Department of Community Affairs; to provide for a definition; to provide for related matters; to repeal conflicting laws; and for other purposes.
