Probation; transfer of probation supervision to the judicial circuit of the county in which the defendant resides in the case of misdemeanor offenses; require

Abstract

A BILL to be entitled an Act to amend Chapter 8 of Title 42 of the Official Code of Georgia Annotated, relating to probation, so as to require the transfer of probation supervision to the judicial circuit of the county in which the defendant resides in the case of misdemeanor offenses; to require the transfer of probation supervision to the county or municipality in which the defendant resides in the case of ordinance violations and misdemeanors; to provide for related matters; to repeal conflicting laws; and for other purposes.
