Criminal history; individual may petition superior court to restrict access to criminal history record information for certain misdemeanor offenses; revise conditions

Abstract

A BILL to be entitled an Act to amend Code Section 35-3-37 of the Official Code of Georgia Annotated, relating to review of individual's criminal history record information, definitions, privacy considerations, written application requesting review, and inspection, so as to revise conditions under which an individual may petition the superior court to restrict access to criminal history record information for certain misdemeanor offenses; to provide for conditions under which an individual may petition the superior court to restrict access to criminal history record information for certain felony offenses; to provide for related matters; to repeal conflicting laws; and for other purposes.
