Health; destination cancer hospitals; provisions

Abstract

A BILL to be entitled an Act to amend Chapter 6 of Title 31 of the Official Code of Georgia Annotated, relating to state health planning and development, so as to provide for a five-year phase-in decrease in the percentage of out-of-state patients required to compose the patient base; to eliminate the licensed bed capacity maximum for destination cancer hospitals in two years; to increase the required charity care of a destination cancer hospital for purposes of certificate of need for the next five years; to provide for a five-year delayed repeal of provisions relating to the differentiated requirements for destination cancer hospitals; to amend other provisions for purposes of conformity; to provide for related matters; to provide for effective dates; to repeal conflicting laws; and for other purposes.
