General Assembly; provisions; provide definition; local bill

Abstract

A BILL to be entitled an Act to amend Chapter 1 of Title 28 of the Official Code of Georgia Annotated, relating to general provisions regarding the General Assembly, so as to provide a definition; to provide that no local bill shall be favorably reported by a legislative committee for legislative action by a house of the General Assembly unless such local bill contains the signatures of members of such house of the General Assembly who represent collectively at least one-half of the residents of the area or jurisdiction to which such local bill shall be applicable; to provide for related matters; to repeal conflicting laws; and for other purposes.
