Unmanned aircraft; provide lawful use; prohibit capturing certain images; provisions

Abstract

A BILL to be entitled an Act to amend Article 3 of Chapter 11 of Title 16 of the O.C.G.A., relating to invasions of privacy, so as to provide for a definition; to provide for the lawful use of unmanned aircraft; to prohibit the capturing of certain images by unmanned aircraft; to prohibit the possession, disclosure, display, distribution, or other use of such improperly captured images; to provide for penalties; to provide for defenses to prosecution; to restrict the use of such images; to provide for civil actions for violations; to provide for rule-making authority for the Department of Public Safety for law enforcement use of such unmanned aircraft; to provide for certain reports; to provide for related matters; to provide for an effective date and applicability; to repeal conflicting laws; and for other purposes.
