Georgia Private Detective and Security Agencies and Locksmiths Act; enact

Abstract

A BILL to be entitled an Act to amend Chapter 38 of Title 43 of the Official Code of Georgia Annotated, relating to operators of private detective businesses and private security businesses, so as to provide for definitions; to create the Georgia Board of Private Detective and Security Agencies and Locksmiths; to provide for the membership, duties, and powers of such board; to provide for fees; to provide for the licensing of locksmiths; to provide for qualifications for licensing; to provide for certain documentation and records; to provide for identification cards; to provide for the maintenance of certain information; to prohibit certain acts; to provide for penalties and sanctions; to provide for exceptions; to provide for related matters; to provide effective dates; to repeal conflicting laws; and for other purposes.
