Water usage; rates charged to customers served by master meter by public provider be prorated among dwellings and be no greater than rates charged to single family users; provide

Abstract

A BILL to be entitled an Act to amend Code Section 12-5-180.1 of the Official Code of Georgia Annotated, relating to allocating water and waste-water usage among tenants, charging tenants for usage, and measuring water usage, so as to provide that, if a building containing residential dwellings is served by a master meter, the rates charged to a customer by a public water provider shall be prorated among the number of dwellings served by such master meter and shall be no greater than rates charged to single family residential users for the same usage; to provide for related matters; to repeal conflicting laws; and for other purposes.
